This course introduces students to the framework used by individuals and firms in making choices. It also demonstrates how this framework can be applied to analyze real world problems and issues. The objective of the course is for students to acquire an understanding of the basic terminology, concepts and analytical framework used by economists. In addition, students will develop the ability to use their knowledge of microeconomics to function as informed, participating citizens, business owners and decision makers. Students who successfully complete this course will be prepared to take intermediate microeconomics and intermediate micro-related classes.
